Davanagere Anekonda temple

One of the old temple in davanagere city ...  In Davanagere at Anekonda Eswara temple was built during 1123 by Uchangi pandya.  Temple is located below land mark and has Garbhagagudi, Sukanasi and Navaranga.  This trikutachala temple has some good carvings in outerwall.  In navaraga pillers are well carved. Opposite to temple we can see Nandi with separate Nandi mantapa.  But most of temple rennovated, painted and has been rennovated inside with tiles.   Pillers inside are not fully visible. 

Nadakalasi (Sagar) - Twins Hoysalatemple

Nadakalsi in village around 8 KMs from Sagar on Soraba-Uulavi Road.  All the tourist whenever come to sagar they will see Joga, Keladi, Ikkeri Temples.  But this temple is old compare to Keladi and Ikkeri built during 1218 during Hoysald Kind II Ballal period. Mallikarjuna temple is first temple built on 3 ft height with 30 piller Big Mantapa which marvelous carvings.  Opposite shivalinga we can see bearuitufl nandi.  Adjucent to this temple neelakanta temple is there.  Temple has 18 piller closed Pradakshina patha.  In temple we can see lot carvings of couples on outer wall.

Dambala - glory of kalyana chalukya

Dambala - Beauty of Kalayana Chalukya  ---  Just around 15 KMs from Lakkundi and around 18 KMs from Gadag you can see this  Doddabasappa temple.  The temple was build during 12th Century during Kalyana chalukya period.  The main attraction of this temple is its Vimana.  Vimana built in star shape and looks like Circular appearance. The entire vimana was fully carved and you can see the beauty of experiment of Kalayana Chalukya.  In temple pillers are well carved and Big nandi is there just front of temple.  The temple is located in Mundaragi talluk of Gadag dist.

Hosanagara Umamaheswara temple

Hosanagara is an talluk headquarter located 64 KMs from Shimoga.  Near to Hosanagara around 3 Kms on the way to Nagara-Kollur we will get small village named jayanagara.  From Bus stand if you go 2 KMs we will get Sharavathi river.  On the bank of river, there is a beautifull temple called Umamaheswara Temple built during Keladi period.  The temple is in Keladi Vijayanagara style.  In front you can see pillars with lion phase.  On outdoor of temple we can see  fine carvings of Dashavathara.  In garbhagudi  Shivalinga is there. Ramachandrapura mutt is just 8 KMS from here.  Whenever we go towards Kodachadri or Kollur on this route don't miss this temple.
