Yele Bhetur Kalleswara Temple :
Davanagere, is one of the district head quarter in
Karnataka having history of ruling of various kings. Number of temples are built in and around the
city during this period include famous Eswara temple in Anekonda. From Davangere on the way to Jagalur around 2
KMs from this temple, we will get one more temple name Kalleswara Temple which
was built during 11th Century in Yelebhethur. Temple consists of Garbhagudi, Open Antharala
and Mukamantapa. The temple bagiluvada
(Entrance of garbhagudi) having good carvings.
In Mantapa we can see the 16 pillars in 4 rows are in Chalukya
style. The inscription shows that existence
of temple during 11th century itself.
